Swedish Massage

One of the most common massage techniques. Swedish Massage is a vigorous system of treatment specifically designed to energize a persons body by stimulating circulation. There are five strokes that flow toward the heart to improve circulation and eliminate waste. A combination of kneading, rolling, vibration, percussive, and tapping movements are used with the application of oil to help it feel even better.

  • Makes the body more slender and the figure more beautiful.
  • Effectively reduces cellulite problems.
  • Cleanses the body of waste substances and repairs blood and lymphatic circulation.
  • Makes the skin smoother, more elastic, softer and revitalizes dry skin.
  • Reduces muscular and joint pains.
  • Relaxes, refreshes and gives a wonderful feeling, reduces fatigue and stress.

This deep form of bodywork helps in releasing myofascial restrictions in the body. Fascia is a web of tissue that serves to maintain structural integrity by giving support and protection and acting as a shock absorber. Some issues that can be improved by this technique are, chronic tension, range of motion, posture, and self-awareness. Deep tissue restores the length and flexibility to the fascia, normalizing and bringing better circulation to the fascia.

Sports Massage

Consists of specific techniques designed to reduce injures. These are done before, during or after an event. The pre-event massage is a 20 minute invigorating massage given an hour before an event. Post-event massage is a longer, more relaxing, session with the goal of easing any pain or soreness, and inflammation.

Prenatal Massage

This type of massage can be done during a pregnancy, or during labor and postpartum. It is best to ask your doctor before getting a prenatal massage. In most cases the doctor will be happy you are getting one! Specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomfort and enhance the mental and emotional well-being of both the mom and baby. During labor, massage can help shorten the process and ease the pain throughout. In postpartum, massage can re-balance structure, mental, and the emotions of the mother.

An ancient healing art based on the belief that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that are connected to every part, organ, and gland in the body. By using acupressure and massage on the hands and feet, the client is helped by the improved circulation, detoxification, reduced tension, and the body’s healing capabilities.

This treatment is very similar to acupuncture. Acupressure is the use of thumbs and fingertips on pressure points instead of needles. When these pressure points are released they stimulate the flow of vital energy and can influence the functioning of some internal organs.
